Recently, I have noticed that a good "friend" of mine has started making similar diaper cakes to mine. I suppose I would not be so upset by this discovery, except that she already has a small, thriving enterprise. I have sent several of my friends to her, regardless if they decided to buy or not and I, too, have bought stuff from her for gifts for the little girls in my life. There is no way to say this nicely, but this is ill-mannered practice. To me, if I send you business or buy from you myself then I expect the same in return. Don't steal my revenue and my ideas!! Another thing that bothers me, is that my diaper cakes are built with all the essentials that a mommy would need (should she decide to disassemble it) and I feel that they are reasonably priced. I'm not trying to make a large profit or take all of your money. I'm trying to, at the very least, come out even. This person doesn't have most of the essentials.
And with that... I'm changing up Baby Bumpkin Diaper Cakes a little bit. I have decided to add a few items and maybe take a couple away. I will still do diaper cakes and all of the other stuff that I have on the Facebook page, as well as adding soft plush pillows, soft plush blankets and there is going to be one more item that I choose not to detail here, but I'll be working on it soon.
I hope that everyone has a wonderful day.

Diaper Cakes
I love baby showers. It's a time when I get to share in the excitement of a new baby with close family or friends. I've, also, always been intrigued by the crafty people that I know. Somewhere along the way, it seems to have rubbed off on me. A while ago, I started crafting these "diaper cakes." No, they aren't edible. It is quite literally diapers held together with some rubberbands in the shape of a cake. When I first started doing it I had no idea what I was doing, but I'm a perfectionist and I did what seemed natural to me or what made the most sense. Now it seems to run close to second nature. The fun part is the decorating. Each baby is different and each new mommy has a style that she wishes for her child. The above picture is the cake that I did for my sister-in-law. She isn't very girly, but she did mention that she'd already stopped in front of the girl clothes at the store and she'd fallen in love. In staying with her style, I went with pink (to be girly) with a hint of black (to be a bit of a rebel). I think, my point here is to know your customer. I like to make it a point to get to know the customer and create something that they will love.
